  1. On September 12, 2014, the Department issued a Federal Register Notice announcing the availability of the Energy Sector Cybersecurity Framework Implementation Guidance for public comment. Comments must be received on or before October 14, 2014. The draft document is available for review at http://www.energy.gov/node/942856. CForum members should review this document and collectively provide feedback to the DOE. I would be willing to collect up the CForum community comments that are posted in response to this topic and work with the CForum administrators to submit. Are you willing to post your comments?

FCW posted a decent article recently that provides a high level of the Framework and suggests that "Regardless of how you adopt the framework (or any other standard), the important thing is to begin now." What is your organization doing to get started with the Framework?   4. ISACA announced that Greg Witte, G2 Inc. and CForum member, will be presenting a webinar on July 29, 2014 entitled "How to Implement the US Cybersecurity Framework using COBIT 5". The webinar will provide an introduction to the Framework and ISACA's forthcoming CSF Implementation Guide. Greg will cover how ISACA practices and processes enable organizations to successfully implement CSF to achieve stakeholder goals and improve cybersecurity.
